I have experienced this occasionally with computers (desktops)  It is
usually been (at least in my case) because a PS/2 mouse or a Microsoft
mouse driver is trying to run on a mouse systems  mouse  or vice versa..
Don't know if that will help.. but thought I'd throw it out there.
