We use a system called SecurID which is a credit card sized unit that generates passwords at random. The bottom line is that at login time, my userid stays the same, but my password keeps on changing. Is there a script or a way to pass in this dynamic password string to the PPP client program. I mean, can I switch from terminal mode to background (auto, ddial) mode ? I wonder how this will work with redials ? Is the background client process capable of requesting password from tty (stdin) ? If so, please help me. Also, I am using a static IP account with my main ISP, yet, I use other ISPs with dynamic PPP setup. Is it possible to use a static IP from one ISP with another ISP ? Your email response will be highly appreciated ! Dinesh mailto:dpunjabi@nyx.net -- Dinesh Punjabi dpunjabi@nyx.cs.du.edu Work: (303)-624-9812
