Yesterday I tried to upgrade one of our 2.1.5 FreeBSD boxes to 2.2.2
and seem to have made a bit of a hash of it. I am now stuck with a
2.1.5 kernel and 2.2.2 system files. I have lost network connectivity
thru the 3Com509 card. I need to maintain the existing disk
partitioning and label. Anyone have any ideas how I can either get a
2.2.2 kernel that will work, or use sysinstall/boot.flp to get me back
to a working system? How can I read/use the existing disk label?

Please e-mail me directly at jal@le.ac.uk because I don't have news
access - this is being sent second hand.

TIA for any help
