I've followed the directions in the handbook, and have my machine name
in the host file like so: 10.0.0.1 my.name.here, but whenever I finger
my host by explicitly stating the host name to finger, it checks the
dns server and just sits there forever instead of realising it's my
machine it should look at. I did have my name next to 127.0.0.1 but
that was giving me sendmail problems (mail loops back to me.) Please
help.
