I just installed the latest release form floppy. It was quite easy. Go to the freebsd home page (www.freebsd.org) and download the startup file and the program that puts it on disk. The disk will dial your ISP and download all of the components for you! One piece of advice: Do the minimal install. Yo can always load the retrieve/setup software again later to pick up the packages.
