I think not. This is experience, pure and simple. Exactly. Just what I was talking about. You tell us WHY you make the recommendation you do, not just offhandedly dump on one OS in favor of another. Additional info on the hardware involved and the kernel version etc would be of interest, but that's my personal taste. The point, of course, is to back up your recommendations with facts. That way the reader has the information he needs to make real decisions (or as real a decision as one might care to make based on usenet posts :) ). I'll never complain when someone points out specific problems (unless the problem was they didn't know what they were doing :) ), but I'm likely to dismiss anything less as the kind of anonymous slashing and trashing that makes up too much of "advocacy" posts. -- Tim Sweeney Harborhi Consultants Boothbay Harbor, Maine Not valid in all 50 states.
