Overview of the process

You create a large contiguous file in the DOS partition. You add
an entry to the FDISK partition table which points at the file.
You then build {Free,Net,Open}BSD normally using the new
partition.

This is probably not for the faint of heart or for the newbie,
but supported by carefully designed tools could be of use.
